I Like It! Corner Shelf

{SOLD}

This corner shelf has been refinished in Old White chalk paint (AS), distressed and coated with clear wax.There are some things I will never like, things like spiders, and cats carrying dead birds into our shop(yes, that really happened today!), and messy bedrooms, I don't like those either. But corner shelves are really growing on me. I really like this one! It's not too big, and it has some sweet character to it. This little guy is making me rethink my position on corner shelves!

Butter me yellow baby...here's a delightful little piece for you to set your eyes on. Aileen couldn't stop looking at this one. I had to tell her to get back to work a few times today because she was just sitting there staring at this buffet. It's hard to find good help these days. Seriously, this is a spectacular piece. Humble Pie Table

{SOLD}

This coffee table has been refinished in black, distressed and coated with poly. The top has been stained dark walnut and coated with poly. I hate it when Aileen is right...and she's right a lot of the time. This piece is no exception. I thought we should paint the top, she said stain it. We stained it, it was the right choice. This top is sweet, it deserved new stain. Now Aileen's gonna have a big head because she is going to think she is so smart. I guess I will have to eat some humble pie and sit there and take it.

Thanks to the Best People Ever!

We had another great week this week. We got to paint a lot of fun stuff for our blog and we got to paint some pretty cool stuff for some of our amazing clients! We also found out that there are really awesome people who drive by our shop every day. Today the kids decided to have a lemonade stand at the end of the driveway. We are on a fairly busy street, so we didn't think that too many cars would actually stop. We warned our kids that they might not get too many customers, we didn't want them to be disappointed.  But people did not disappoint us today! People stopped! Even if they were busy and had places to go they stopped! Some of them had to dig out change from the depths of their cars or wherever they could find it, someleft extra huge tips for the kids, someone came, asked how much it cost, went home and came back with money to buy cookies and lemonade, cars drove by and backed up to stop for a drink, neighbours came out of their homes and walked over just because. And our kids...they sat at the end of the drive way ALL day and they loved every single minute of it. So if you were one of the people who stopped by today, THANK YOU...you made our kids' day an extra special day!
